Andromeda the Star has the ability to channel dark energy, the energy that fuels the acceleration and expansion of the universe.  When channeling this energy,Andromeda lights up like a star and emits it from the pores of her body in all directions.  She is able to transform her power into every know form of radiant energy: light, electricity, heat, magnetic waves, etc.

Born MirandaSharpe, she is the only daughter of Sterling Sharpe, billionaire, owner and CEOof the broadcast television network, SharpeTV. The daughter of a wealthy father, Miranda was given every advantage in life.  She was educated in the top private schools, given a car at age 16, a motorcycle at 17, and enjoyed the very privileged life of being the daughter of the second richest African-American man in the United States.

Miranda had skirmishes with the law when she joined the private school girl biker gang, theUltraviolets.  But the parents of theUltraviolets were so wealthy they were able to have all legal infractions involving their daughters brushed under the rug.  While riding and hanging with this debut ante suburban girl biker gang of privilege, Miranda met and fell in love with bad boy Cyrano Thornbird, the oldest son of one of the oldest and wealthiest families in the mega-metropolis of New Front.

Miranda and Cyrano were a very passionate, very volatile couple: showing great affection for each other one moment and bitterly fighting with each other the next.  About one year or so into their relationshipMiranda and Cyrano were embroiled in yet another shouting match in the backyard of her father’s immense 10-acre estate; during this exchange Miranda’s powers manifested in the worst possible way.  At the height of the argument Miranda experienced dark energy coursing through her veins for the very first time.  Frightened, she unleashed it up into the sky and accidentally shot down a passenger plane that happened to be passing by at that precise moment.  The downing of the airplane was ruled a mysterious accident, and investigation upon investigation turned up nothing.

Miranda’s father, determined to keep his daughter’s secret, contacted his old college classmate, renowned paranormal psychiatrist, Dr. Lydia Grant.  

Miranda met withDr. Grant twice a week in private, and when Supernaturals around the mega-metropolis of New Front began being murdered her father put her in hiding.  That is, until another old college classmate of his, former CIA Black Ops Director, Dr. Malcolm X. Forbes began to assemble a team of Supernaturals to confront the ever escalating violence against Supernaturals. Miranda’s father not only encouraged her to join this group, he made her.

Andromeda the Star absolutely hates using her powers. Whenever she uses it, her power leaves her hair in a frizzy, knotted state, and oftentimes causes it to stand on end.  Using her power also darkens her skin for days at a time, and because she is skin-color conscious, it simply adds to the list of reasons she despises turning it on.

Miranda is spoiled, but now as a member of the Stormbringers she may well have to put that aside.  In her quiet time Miranda grieves the loss of her mother, a woman she never knew before her mysterious disappearance merely days after she was born. Miranda’s joining the Strombringers was made easier by Dr. Forbes’s promise that he’d help her find out more information concerning her mother’s disappearance.

Force the Molotov is a New Pygmy who possesses the ability to detonate animate and inanimate objects by thought. Force absorbs vibratory or kinetic energy and has to release it in concussive force.  These explosions, because they are mentally controlled, can occur within a finite and fixed location while leaving all else around it completely unharmed.  And Force is in a constant state of absorbing kinetic energy because she also absorbs energy from the perpetual vibration and motion of atoms. This involuntary action in her neurophysiology causes Force the Molotov severe migraines and her only relief from these headaches is in creating explosions to alleviate the pressure stored up from all the vibratory energy she’s absorbed.

Force is a walking time bomb and she has to constantly guard against causing unintended detonations.  When she sneezes things explode, even when she claps her hands.  The more she grows as a person and matures mentally the force she emits from her mind becomes stronger and more explosive.

Force has a mysterious past, which she hasn’t completely revealed.  In part because she’s suppressed the memory of what happened to her in it.  She was admitted into the psychiatric ward of the New Front Mental Institution after she was found nearly stoned to death by fellow New Pygmies in an alley in theunder-city, the city that lies beneath the mega-metropolis of New Front.  One day, while at the New Front MentalInstitution, Force was being taken in for electric shock therapy.  As she resisted, the orderlies became rough with her and the hallway detonated killing everyone in an eight-foot radius, but her.

The investigation of the explosion was eventually remanded to the CIA’sPsi Ops Division who hired a locally known para and neuro-psychiatrist, Dr.Lydia Grant, to investigate.  Dr. Grant formed a doctor-patient relationship with Force and helped her learn some semblance of self-control over her ability to psychically detonate things.  Force was the motivating reason Dr. Grant formed a support group of Supernaturals as she realized there were several women in New Front dealing with new and unexplainable, powers and abilities.

While under Dr. Grant’s care at the mental hospital, Force suffered a massive stroke and was admitted into a more advanced neuropsychiatric trauma-care hospital.  The stroke putForce in a coma for a week but when she awakened she found that the stroke hadn’t debilitated her brain it enlivened it, increasing her already formidable psychic detonative power and conversely her need to learn to control it.  

When Dr. Grant and her former college classmate Dr. Malcolm X. Forbes decided to assemble the Stormbringers, Force the Molotov agreed to be a member of this SuperNatural-Warrior collective.

Force’s real name is Pi, and she has never revealed a last name.  In fact Force believes that, “Pi is neither my first name, nor my last name, it’s my only name.”  Force is a child of the rave culture.  She listens to techno, trance, electronic, garage, grunge and experimental music. Force hangs out with a group of New Pygmy girl-ravers nicknamed theRavens.

Matrix the Creator is helping Force the Molotov learn to master detonating her psychic explosions in perfect circles or in perfectly fixed locales without harming anyone or anything outside of the area.  By making herself the radius Force is learning how to calculate explosions that can destroy anything within a fixed diameter while protecting everything outside it.  Matrix the Creator feels that one day Force will have the ability to split the atom through thought alone.

Powers andAbilities:  Possesses the speed, quickness, stamina and durability of 100 women.

Temperament: Freelancer is the ultimate competitor.  She is a former Olympic track and field athlete and loves every aspect of training and honing her body for competition.  Freelancer is also sassy and quick-witted.  She will crack jokes on just about anyone and can play the dozens with the best of them.

Environment: Freelancer is raised in a two-parent household with a mother and father who loves her very much.  Her socio-economic background is working class: her father a bus driver and her mother a domestic.  This helps explain why Freelancer is such a hard worker and takes very little for granted.

Freelancer theTrailblazer has the strength, speed, endurance and durability of 100 women.

A lifelong athlete,Freelancer the Trailblazer was born in St. Louis, Missouri.  She began running in organized youth track and field events at age six.  By age twelve her prodigious skill on both the track and field garnered her notice from Olympic track coaches across the country. By age 16, Freelancer, then known only as Troi Jones, was the youngest woman and athlete in history to compete in the Olympic games in the heptathlon.

The 16-year-oldJones excelled in every event and was well ahead on points after only the first day.  However, during the high jump, as the young Troi prepared for her jump the rabid fan of a competitor surreptitiously made it out on to the field and impaled the broken end of a javelin into the small of Troi’s back.  As a result, the base of Troi’s spine was damaged to such an extent she was paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair for two years.

One day, during an excruciating session of physical therapy Troi miraculously gained the full use of her legs.  Unbeknownst to her at the time a strange phenomenon known as womb energy had been activated inside her.  Seeking answers that no one could explain Troi traveled to the mega-metropolis of New Frontier on the south eastern seaboard of the United States and found council with the parapsychiatrist, Dr.Lydia Grant.

Troi found other women like herself in Dr. Grant’s SuperNatural support group.  However when women from the group began being murdered Dr. Grant sent Troi back to St. Louis with the promise that she’d contact her when she found a way to respond to the attacks.

Several months later Troi received a phone call from Dr. Grant who explained the best way to confront the cycle of violence threatening to annihilate all Supernaturals was to band with others like herself along with sympathetic Warriors and take back their safety and control over their lives.

Two weeks later Troi Jones arrived again in the mega-metropolis of New Frontier as a member of the SuperNatural-Warrior set known as Stormbringers.

Halo, the Fabulous Freebird, is an angel of God.  She came to earth as an observer in a group of ten Celestials known as The Holy Order ofAngels.  Celestials are here to observe and document human progress, setbacks and accomplishments.  This particular group of Celestials resides in the Black Rock Mountains, just outside the mega-metropolis of New Front. 

The details of their transition from the ethereal to the material plane are sketchy.  What is known is that Halo somehow lost her ability to fly when the Celestials’ transition into our world was complete.  Halo’s inability to fly hinders her duties to function as a Celestial observer because she must be able to move from one locale to the next frequently, and on a daily basis.

The head of theHoly Order of Angels, Camilla, believed Halo suffered from some sort of psychic post-traumatic stress syndrome, which is a sometimes side effect of spirits who make a transition from the ethereal to material plane.  Camilla solicited help for her flightless charge from the paranormal psychiatrist, Dr. Lydia Grant, believing psychiatric treatment would restore Halo’s ability to fly.

Halo underwent a year of psychotherapy and treatment but was still unable to lift off the ground and take to the air despite a wingspan stretching 12 feet in total length.  During treatment Dr. Grant assessed that since Halo was an angel her problem may go back to her previous life and she may be suffering from post-historical trauma. So bit by bit, Dr. Grant and Halo are in the process of piecing together her spiritual point of origin and her reincarnated lives.  Halo was a member of Dr. Grant’s Super Natural women’s psychotherapy group.  And when that group disbanded, as members of that group were being hunted down and murdered,Halo asked if she could continue to seek Dr. Grant’s counsel and in return aid in finding the perpetrators to stop the murders of these innocent young women.

Dr. Grant sent forHalo when she and her former college classmate, Dr. Malcolm X. Forbes put together a group of SuperNaturals and Warriors known as the Stormbringers.  Halo’s instructions from the Holy Order of Angels are to remain under Dr. Grant’s care and return to the Celestial fold when she has regained her ability to fly.  Halo has been instructed by the order not to involve herself in human affairs.

As an angel of God,Halo possesses the strength of 1000 men and is nearly indestructible,i ndefatigable, and requires neither food nor sleep.  Halo also doesn’t require air because angels don’t breathe in the same way humans do.  Halo stands at six feet three inches tall and each her wings are six feet in length and about three and a half feet wide. Halo’s wings are white and gold except for a brown stripe that borders across the bottom of each wing.

Halo’s ethnicity isCelestial.  All Celestials come from theEthereal plane, which is where the after life, explained by most human religious belief systems, is assumed to be. While in the material world Celestials are forbidden to take part in carnal or material pleasures, i.e., pleasures of the flesh.  Doing so will cause them to lose their Celestial properties of strength, invulnerability and indefatigableness, this will lead them to become as frail and weak as human beings and they will need to consume food, water and air to survive.

Matrix the Creator comes from a long line of geniuses.  Her mother is the head of the Waterloo Institute of Foreign Languages and her father was a brilliant Pygmy physicist and geneticist who was the head of theWaterloo Institute of Advanced Technology. Most adults in the Waterloo family head up a different institution in theWaterloo Empire.

Matrix the Creator tested genius at age five with an initial IQ of 180.  By age 8 her IQ doubled and she was far too intellectually advanced to continue her matriculation inside the private school system.  At nine years old she was accepted into Excelsior Academy for Gifted Youngsters affectionately known as known as “Genius High.”  There, along with other child geniuses Matrix was able to explore and pursue her favorite academic subjects under an extremely intense curriculum.  Genius High students graduate at 13 and enter university.  Matrix graduated valedictorian by 15 and earned her first doctorate in math and physics with a concentration in quantum theory by 17.  Her passion is in quantum physics and her goal is to be the first person to develop a working quantum computer for the purpose of creating sustainable cold fusion.

The offspring of anAfrican-American woman and a Pygmy man Matrix stands at exactly 5’0 tall.  Matrix is gopher-like, meaning that she is almost always in her underground laboratory in the basement of the Stormbringers Brownstone or in one of the research facilities at the 10th StreetLibrary.  The set she claims is Stormbringers, but her social group is the Eggheads. The Eggheads are 4 former classmates of hers, all alumni of Genius High, who kept in touch and continued to nurture their friendship after graduation.  The Eggheads include Matrix, whose real name is Megan “Bree” Waterloo…

Because she is constantly working on her latest invention Matrix rarely takes note of her appearance.  She has a lot of hair that she almost always pulls back into a ponytail just to get it out of her way – a bushy ponytail that flares out like a plume of cotton candy.  She sometimes wears glasses too, but can go without them and she usually wears a white lab coat.

Matrix has a Personal Satellite Assistant (PSA)– it’s the size of a tennis ball and can contract to the size of a golfball.  It orbits her body like the moon orbits

the earth.  It’s her helpmate.  It provides and stores information for her, protects her while she’s sleeping and even when she’s awake and it inter faces and communicates with strange computers for her.  Ultimately Matrix builds an entire solar system of small satellites that orbit and surround her body like a constellation and can really be seen in the dark when the light in a room she’s in is cut off.

Megan Waterloo’s family is one of the oldest and most prominent in the city of New Front.  When a Waterloo graduates and receives his or her first doctoral degree, they are given an initial grant of two million dollars from the Waterloo Family Trust to start their own institute.  If they decline to start one of their own and opt instead to work for one of the existing Waterloo Institutes they are encouraged to use their graduation stipend to start a family and continue the line of Waterloo geniuses.  Waterloo’s are expected to only marry fellow high-intelligents and whomever they marry must take on the family name, including the men who marry Waterloo women.  When Matrix received her first doctorate at17 she was the youngest Waterloo to ever accomplish this feat.  She then announced that she was going to start the Waterloo Institute of Quantum Physics and focus on building the first operational quantum computer one that would ultimately replicate and be powered by cold fusion.  There was concern from the Waterloo elder men that her pursuit in this field was a fool’s errand.  And the matter of bequeathing her her two million dollar stipend was reluctant, there was even talk that she was too young to receive it.  However, due to pressure from her mother, Hadassah Waterloo, and her Grandmother, Madame Waterloo, the elder Waterloo men on the Trust board relented and bestowed her the money.  Matrix spent all two million dollars in a cold fusion experiment that she entered into New Front’s annualGenius Convention.  There she sought to duplicate the original cold fusion experiment. Her results ended in complete failure. The family elders chastised her and her requests for further project funding were all denied.  Matrix has been banned from receiving any money for further experiments for ten years.  Heartbroken, Matrix went into a bout of depression and unproductivity for about a year. Her mother, Hadassah thinking she needed counseling and a little psychotherapy sent her to an old college classmate and friend, psychiatrist and parapsychologist, Dr. Lydia Grant.  A year or so later, when Dr. Grant and Malcolm X Forbes began assembling aSuperNatural team, Dr. Forbes recruited Matrix to join based on Dr. Grant’s recommendation.  Matrix was reluctant at first, but Dr. Forbes gave her two things to entice her.  One, an underground multi-million dollar advance technology lab exclusively for her use, and two, he’d help her search for the man or men who assassinated her father and why.

Matrix realized that one reason why her experiment in cold fusion failed was that she needed a quantum computer with which to accurately analyze and replicate it.

Matrix’s center of study is in quantum physics. She is trying to do two things, build a quantum computer and create sustainable cold fusion.

QuantumPhysics – no gravity, no friction, no past, no present.  Cold fusion - endless energy with little or no fuel.

Matrix also sees the world a lot differently than most humans do. She sees living mathematical equations constantly adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing themselves.  She sees shapes and dimensions as opposed to common imagery. She can also see subliminal messages, anagrams and encrypted language because of her ability to instantaneously calculate and recalculate mathematical equations and probability. Matrix learned how to count and add before she learned how to read and write so her first language was numbers and this is her base, approach and perspective to all things.  Numbers are her letters, equations are her words, English is her second language, and Math is her first.  Matrix learned to count before she learned to talk.

Middle Fingaz the Gunslinga can hit anything he aims at. It’s a talent he feels cursed with but it’s the only talent that’s kept him alive this far in his young life. Middle Fingaz was so young when he was orphaned that he doesn’t even remember his last name.  He watched his mother gunned down as he was holding her hand while the two of them walked down a sidewalk on their way to a bus stop. It’s a memory that’s never left him. He’s haunted by her death, by the violence that took her from him.

Middle Fingaz remembers his first name is Smoove.  And that he was sent to Balsam Street Orphanage at four years of age.  There were twelve boys in the orphanage and it was run by a woman they called Baby sista. At the orphanage the twelve boys suffered such an extended life of abuse that two of them died and the other ten boys lived in a constant state of fear.  One day Baby sista witnessed Smoove tossing balled up pieces of paper into a trashcan.  He landed every shot so she had him tested.  The next thing he knew Smoove was taken to training facilities with other kids his age and they were given classes in marksmanship, gun cleaning and armory. They were taught self-defense and sent off to week and month-long camps in everything from survival training to skydiving.

Looking to make money off him, Baby sista hired him out to various drug dealers and tax collectors in New Front whenever he was re-released back into her custody.  And while in New Front, at eight years of age, Smoove came under the hire of a drug dealer named Cortez theConqueror.  His skill with a gun was a great asset to Cortez the Conqueror as he was able to catch many of his rivals off guard because they never suspected Cortez would send a child to down his enemies.  And Smoove could down them with a single shot, yet every time he fired a gun visions of his mother being gunned down while holding his hand rushed into his head.

While in his employCortez bought an eight-year old girl from her mother for a few rocks of crack.  The wide-eyed little girl was frightened and even though the situation was god awful, for Smoove it was still love at first sight.  Cortez sent Smoove out to the store to get the girl something to drink. However when he came back he walked in on Cortez raping the girl.  Smoove pulled out his gun and when Cortez noticed him in the room he tried to talk him down.  A frightened Smoove kept his gun trained onCortez.  Cortez lunged at Smoove and Smoove fired a single shot and hit him perfectly between the eyes.

The girl’s name wasLibra.  Libra would later become theSuperNatural known as Silk the Intuitionist.

He and Libra ran off and he hid her in his bedroom closet at Balsam Street Orphanage.  And when Baby sista found out she chased Libra away and savagely beat him.  A week or so later Smoove found out that Libra had been put in a dollar store.  Desperate to see her he stood in the hour-long line and waited his turn.  When he entered the dark dank room he saw her emaciated, half starved, sick and dying of thirst.  Smoove ran to the store and stood in the hours long line again.  When he made it back into the room he gave her water, food and aspirin.  Smoove sent the rest of the Balsam Street orphans to the dollar store with food, water and medicine as well.  Feeding dollar whores is strictly forbidden, because they are considered throwaways from the Jezebelean Empire and meant to die.  But Smoove’s efforts kept her alive and eventually bumped her up to streetwalker allowing her to leave the dollar store.

Smoove was sent to the CIA Field Ops Division when he was 12. There he received a handler known then only as Dark horse, but later asDr. Malcolm X. Forbes.  Smoove split his time between Washington D.C. and New Front. And once when he returned home he realized his orphan-mates were being constantly beaten up in school and harassed throughout the neighborhood by other kids.  So at thirteen he and the orphans formed a gang known as the Balsam Street Boys.  And in a violent night of revenge they threw a brick through the plate glass window of a sporting goods store and stole ten black baseball bats.  That night they visited the home of every bully who’d ever picked on them and beat them savagely.  The Balsam Street Boys became a robbing crew.  And Smoove was in and out of New Front fulfilling missions for CIA Field Ops and while heading up this robbing crew.  Every now and again, when he was in town he’d run into Libra, the first and only woman he ever loved, as she went from streetwalker to showgirl, to playmate to Thoroughbred.

Back in DC, Smoove was such an asset to his handler that Dark horse took him with him when he was promoted to the Black Ops Division. There, Smoove’s assignments increased in their perilousness and bloodiness.  Disenchanted he told Dark horse he wanted to leave.  Dark horse warned him that in doing so he’d be marked for death. Undeterred, after his next assignment, Middle Fingaz disappeared.  He was hunted down and brought back by another young Black Ops agent known then only as the Heartthrob.  The Heartthrob captured him with a very unorthodox approach; he struck up a conversation with him, got him to laugh and then knocked him unconscious with chloroform spray.  Smoove was imprisoned indefinitely within the gallows of the Black Ops building.

Dark horse would visit him while he was jailed.  They began communicating in a series of subtle hand signals that Dark horse had  taught him over the years and he learned that Dark horse was trying to free him.  Shortly thereafter he stopped seeing Dark horse.  Reports were that Dark horse had been killed.  Heartthrob began to see him and relayed messages to him from Dark horse who he was told was still secretly alive.  With the Heartthrobs help Smoove managed to escape confinement and was given coordinates on where to meet Dark horse and a set he was assembling a few days later.

When Smoove reached his given coordinates he arrived at the Stormbringers Brownstone Complex.  And needing refuge and protection from the many enemies trying to kill him Middle Fingaz agreed to join the team.

Silk theIntuitionist is a woman of great and vast psychic sensitivity.  She is a telepath, a telekinetic, biokinetic, clairvoyant and astral projectionist.  A great deal of her psychic energy is spent suppressing her abilities because she wants to appear normal like everyone else around her.  However, her psychic prowess appears to be an involuntary function much like the beat of a heart.  When she makes eye contact with someone she can instantly read their mind.  And when she reaches for something the object has already made its way into her hand long before she completed reaching out to it.

Born Libra Young, she was sold into child slavery, at eight years of age by her mother.  She was sold to Cortez the Conqueror, a notorious and violent drug dealer who bought Libra for only a few stones of crack.  Looking to quadruple his profit by selling Libra to Jezebel Queen of Whores, who bought virgin girls at premium prices, Cortez the Conqueror set up a meeting with one of Jezebel’s lieutenants to make it happen.  However, unable to initiate any self-control, Cortez raped Silk in the back of his drug storefront.  Cortez was killed by his number one hitman, an eight year-old named Middle Fingaz who inadvertently walked in on the violent event and downed Cortez the Conqueror with a single gunshot right between his eyes.  Libra and Middle Fingaz, then known only as Smoove ran off together where he hid her in the closet he shared with the other orphaned boys at the Balsam Street Orphanage.  Libra hid there for a week under the protection of the twelve orphans.  She ran off however when she was discovered by the Balsam Street matriarch, the diabolical Babysitter, and saw Smoove being beaten for protecting her.  She was kidnapped off the street by one ofJezebel’s body snatcher’s and sent to a dollar store where she was forced to become a dollar whore.  

Dollar whores are female sex slaves owned by Jezebel Queen of Whores, who have been punished, deemed worthless and sent there to die. However, Smoove discovered Libra’s whereabouts and brought her water, food and medicine to keep her alive.  And it worked, for when Jezebel found out she had a dollar whore who hadn’t perished after two weeks, she sent for her. Once Jezebel looked her over she bumped Libra up to Streetwalker status and sent her to live in a whorehouse under the direction and guidance of a Madame.

Initially, Libra wasn’t any good as a streetwalker.  She was beat up by her first trick and didn’t make any money for the night.  Streetwalkers have to bring in at least $500a night.  And if they don’t they’re beaten, such was the fate of a nine-year old Silk her very first night on the job.

So Libra was taken under the wing of a seasoned streetwalker; a seventeen year old namedMabel.  While teaching Libra the ropes Mabel would also give her money to cover her so she wouldn’t get beat up by the Madame’s hench women for returning to their whorehouse with less than 500dollars.  She taught Libra how to survive on the streets.  Libra learned the lingo and also how to use a blade.  

“Tell your tricks they gon’ have to pay upfront before you get in the car, not after. And sometimes you gon’ have to take your money.  So carry a blade, I’ll teach you how to use it,” Mabel taught her.

Libra soon began making more and more money although from time to time Mabel still had to cover her.  One day Mabel covered her and was beaten herself for having earned less than the required amount.  From then on, Libra put it into high gear and began picking up more and more customers until she became the highest grossing streetwalker in the Jezebelean Empire.  

Libra then began to cover Mabel every night for Mabel never fully recovered from the beating she took for her.  And one night Mabel used the money Libra earned for her and covered another new girl.  Mabel was beaten to death for coming up short once again.  

Libra was distraught but shortly thereafter, because of her earning potential, she was bumped up to Showgirl and had to visit Father John, the strip club captain, to get a name.  Father John names herSilk.  And Silk becomes the highest grossing Showgirl in Jezebelean Empire history. Silk is then promoted to Playmate and makes so much money as a Playmate she is promoted to Dream girl, then to Thoroughbred.  As a Thoroughbred Silk earned 1.2 million dollars a year for Jezebel Queen of Whores, yet was still unable to pay off her debt to Jezebel.  Unbeknownst to Silk at the time, Jezebel added in accrued interest rates, room, board and grooming to keep her whores in a state of perpetual debt.

Silk went to seeJezebel’s accountant and demanded to know how much it would cost to buy her freedom.  The figure was astronomical, 5million dollars.  Undeterred, Silk bit the bullet and over the course of a year earned 5 million dollars extra, but by the time she presented it to Jezebel’s accountant she was still 1 million dollars short per accrued interest and cost of living expense increases.

A depressed Silk went off to a diner and sat at a table nursing a cup of coffee.  Her old friend Smoove walked by and saw her through the window.  Smoove was then, one of the notorious Balsam Street Boys, a local robbing crew.  Smoove and Silk talked and she told him why she was so depressed.  One night later Smoove brought her the money she needed to buy her freedom.

Once free, Silk took a job at the only non-Jezebelean strip club in New Front, the Fantasia, owned by Snitch the Bitch, Transvestite Information Specialist.  She became the top draw at his club.  One night she was sexually assaulted by a guns linger named Merciless.  Days later her psychic ability manifested for the very first time. Silk’s abilities grew more and more pronounced.  They grew stronger than her ability to suppress them.  Desperate she sought help from the only person in New Front she was told could help girls with such things, the paranormal psychiatrist, Dr. Lydia Grant.

Dr. Grant had a paranormal women’s group: a group of SuperNaturals who she brought together to deal with their new and strange abilities. There, Silk met Force the Molotov, then known only as Pi, and Freelancer the Trailblazer, known then as Troi Jones. But when girls from their psychotherapy group began being murdered the group disbanded.  And Silk returned exclusively to the Fantasia under the protection of Snitch the Bitch who had powerful friends.

One night Silk was approached by a tall, well-dressed man, in a black suit.  He asked her for a private dance in one of the Fantasia’s VIP rooms.  His name wasDr. Malcolm X. Forbes.  He convinced Silk that the best way to protect herself was in mastering her powers, only then could she confront the violence threatening her and others like her.  Silk hesitated, and turned him down.  The next day she talked the offer over withSnitch the Bitch who encouraged her to leave. Two days later Silk left the Fantasia and joined the Stormbringers.

Stepson the Heartthrob is the most beautiful man most people have ever seen.  He’s young, tall, toned, dark and bald.  He’s hairless save for his eyelashes and brows and has perfectly straight, white teeth.  Stepson the Heartthrob speaks five languages, is a college graduate and holds two advanced degrees.  And what he possesses is an uncanny charisma and a disarming personality.  He’s also quick on his feet, has great situational awareness and is able to deftly use his environment to his advantage.

Stepson the Heartthrob is a former secret agent with the CIA Field Ops and Black Ops Divisions.  He is a government class Alpha Fighter, an adept gunslinger, a quick- change artist, a well trained acrobat, and a seasoned escape artist. As Massai Walker, Stepson the Heartthrob was recruited into the CIA directly out college.  He interned at CIA headquarters in Langley, VA all four summers of his college matriculation and worked as personal assistant to Field Ops Director, Malcolm X. Forbes, during the summer proceeding his senior year.  

A seasoned athlete and black belt in karate, Massai easily learned and breezed through the intense self-defense training and conditioning program he had to undergo to be initiated into the Field Ops Division of the CIA.  For all intents and purposes Massai was a company man. Being well built and beautiful, Massai has an unmatched ease attracting women.  However, Massai’s ease attracting women is rivaled only by his weakness for them. As his great charm and charisma draw women he has shown an inability to turn them down.  This weakness for women caused him to pursue sex even at the expense of his assignments.  

More than one female agent from competing intelligence organizations have caused him to come up short on a mission.  Massai has botched several assignments during his tenure with the CIA Field Ops Division.  He allowed lady-spies to steal several bits of United States government secrets over the years.  At one point he was marked for elimination for his egregious mistakes, errors and lapses in judgment. However, each time he botched an assignment Dr. Forbes covered for him.  Because of this Massai became more loyal to Dr. Forbes than to the CIA.  And when Dr. Forbes was promoted to Black Ops, he took Massai with him. Massai worked mainly in white-collar espionage and information gathering with Black Ops and he laid the coordinates and field plans for Black Ops Agents to carry out their assignments in various locales.  

Massai’s main modus operandi was to infiltrate a corporation by being hired into it, befriend and get to know a target, learn everything about that target, and familiarize himself with that target’s locale, habits, etc. and relay that information back to headquarters.  

Because he was so skilled at disarming people with his attractiveness and winning personality Massai increased his value to the department. When there was an attempt on Dr. Forbes’s life and he was believed dead, Massai was the first and only person Dr. Forbes contacted.  Massai and Dr. Forbes stayed in secret contact for more than two years until Massai left the CIA by faking his death and joined Dr. Forbes to become a member of the Stormbringers.

Brawley Biafra is a new Pygmy forced to undergo an experiment involving the disassembling and reassembling of DNA.  The details of what happened to Brawley are classified. However, what is known is that he was one of many New Pygmies who were experimented on by a group of geneticists in the employ of the CIA.  Brawley Biafra was the only one who survived. Brawley’s DNA has the ability to unlock itself and reconfigure into preprogrammed strands that increase its host’s size three feet in length and 300 plus pounds in weight.  Brawley has very little control over this process for it reacts to hormonal impulses and stress signals from his central nervous system.  In other words his DNA reacts to his emotional state of being.  

When Brawley is calm, cool and collected his DNA remains static and neutral, when Brawley becomes agitated, excited, aroused or afraid his DNA unlocks itself and Brawley grows into the 7’2, 450lb bald behemoth, XXL the Heavyweight. Although Brawley appears to have SuperNatural ability, this is not the case.  Brawley is officially classified as a GMH or Genetically Modified Human because his DNA and physiology have been tampered with.  And although Brawley can grow from a 4’5 Pygmy into a 7’2 Heavyweight he does not gain any super strength, endurance or durability.  

XXL the Heavyweight merely possesses the strength, endurance and durability of a man his size, which is quite considerable. The details of how Brawley came under CIA custody are classified as well.  However, as head of the Black Ops Division, Dr. Malcolm X. Forbes, was contacted by his long time friend and former college classmate, the renowned Pygmy anthropologist, Dr. Molefi Asante, who inquired about a missing relative who was believed to be a test subject in a government genetic experiment. Dr. Forbes looked into it and was able to substantiate his friend’s inquiries.  

Using his power and influence as the Director of CIA Black Ops Div., Dr. Forbes freed Brawley from CIA confinement with the hope of finding the means to reverse his condition and return his DNA to it’s natural state.  Brawley, looking for a way out of the painful tests and experimentation he had to endure on a daily basis, agreed.  But it wasn’t until two years later that Dr. Forbes actually freed Brawley because Dr. Forbes was allegedly killed in the terrorist missile attack on a building where he attended a national security strategy meeting.  However, a young agent from Black Ops known then as only the Heartthrob, initiated contact with Brawley and set up a line of communication between he and Dr. Forbes.  

Dr. Forbes used the Heartthrob to free Brawley from the lab he’d been imprisoned in for most of his life.  He then sent Brawley to live with his uncle, Dr. Asante in the mega-metropolis of New Frontier, home to a size-able immigrant Pygmy population, to await further instructions. Brawley received those instructions six months or so later and joined the Stormbringers at their brownstone complex, the day the team assembled.
